| The
first two conventions in 2000 and 2001, organised by the
Italian Chamber of Commerce for France in partnership with
the Marseilles-Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, and the Mediterranean Network
of Engineering Schools, made it possible to pave the way
for technology transfer between the worlds of research and
business.
The
1st Convention on Technology Transfer which was held in
Marseilles on 27th and 28th December 2000 enabled the
chambers of commerce, businesses and engineering schools
from the Mediterranean Basin to meet together for the
first time to work out an effective partnership in the
following areas:
- Agro-feeding;
- Ocean
and Coastal engineering;
- Electronics,
IT and mechatronics;
- Chemistry
and pharmaceutical industry.
The
2nd Convention, which took place in Genoa on 9th and 10th
November 2001, focussed on Information and Communication
Technology and its applications. The following areas were
dealt with:
- Shipbuilding
and repair;
- Logistics
and e-commerce;
- Health
and telemedicine;
- Education
and training-on-line.
The
3rd Convention on Technology Transfer which will take
place in Marseilles on 15th and 16th November 2002,
will make it possible to study and build real partnerships,
making it a workshop in the field of technology transfer
in the Mediterranean.
- The
research laboratories will present new technologies
to industrial firms;
- Businesses
confronted with technological problems may in turn put
their requests to the laboratories.
In
both of these cases you are invited to take part in this
convention by sending us a brief description of your project
or your technological requirements before 30th March
2002.
